I am about to change your life.
Ready?
Here it goes.
You decide the meaning of everything in your life — every aspect, every relationship, every circumstance, and every single action.
Most of us have been taught to give our power away. We’ve been conditioned with beliefs that do not serve who we are: powerful creators of everything we experience.
Everything starts and ends with one person: you.
When something “bad” or “negative” happens (which are just learned perceptions), we automatically assume the worst, and in many cases, we create just that.
You are more powerful than you know, and that power has been slowly dripped out of you by mainstream fears, ignorance, and learned responses.
When something happens (a disappointment, a cancellation, or a schedule change) remember that your response to it is everything.
If you decide deep down that all things are working in your favor, then nothing can be separate from that. It means everything that you experience is for your good, no matter what it may look like in the moment.
But you must endow it with that point of view so you can remain in your power.
Schedule changes? This is for my good!
A cancellation? This is for my good!
A disappointment? This is for my good!
Remember that you are the perceiver of everything in your personal universe. You give meaning to everything that happens, so create a meaning that’s in your favor.
Decide right now that you’ve done everything right and all is working itself out for you.
Decide right now that you know who you are and where you’re going and watch how your reality shifts.
The moment you know who you are (an energy being with limitless power), your life will start working for you.
Unlearning Your Learned Responses

All of us were taught how to feel about different aspects of life from whoever we were around when we were young.
We absorbed these beliefs and called them our own.
Now, we have the opportunity to change the narrative around every single thing we’re experiencing. Cool!
Just think about this: what if every time you experienced a disappointment you turned it around and gave it a more positive meaning? How much better could you feel throughout the day, thus changing your state of being and allowing more good into your reality?
Let’s say you have a job interview for a position you deeply want. And now, let’s say the interview gets canceled because of a scheduling error.
First things first: you have to deal with the chemistry of your survival emotions. Allow yourself to feel the disappointment, anger, and frustration. You’re giving space to your emotions and this is a good thing. Allow the energy to pass through you without attaching to it. Just feel it go through its cycle and peter out.
After you’ve allowed the energy to be released, decide the meaning of the cancelation in your favor.
“This must mean there’s a better day for me to interview for this job. Thanks for having my back, Universe!”
“This means I have more time to prepare and really blow them away. Thanks for arranging this for me, Universe!”
“Cool! I’m assuming this means I will have the exact perfect person as my interviewer. Thanks for connecting me with the right people, Universe!”
Do you see how much more powerful these meanings are? Now, you’re daydreaming about all kinds of positive aspects of this change. You chose yourself and told the Universe you’re in trust with the process. There’s no better way to move through an experience than deciding it’s all happening for your good, no matter what it looks like to your ego or past conditioning.
Unlearning a learned response is about awareness and choice.
Many of us react without thinking because our brain already has a built-in program for what we’re observing.
Changing your relationship with your responses will change how you behave, the choices you make, and the way you show up.
Decide right now that all things work in your favor, no matter how you saw them in the past.
When you feel triggered, take a moment to step back and observe yourself. Yes, feel the feelings, but do it with a new approach.
“Wow, I realize I’m triggered and my brain wants to keep me safe by responding with a stress cycle. I’m aware of this. As I feel my reaction, I also observe myself. How do I want to feel about this after the stress cycle is complete? What is my relationship to this change, circumstance, or situation? How can I create a positive meaning for myself out of this?”
Having regular conversations with yourself will shed light on what works best for you.
Just remember: you decide what everything means, so make sure the meaning is always in your favor.
