Do You Have a Healthy Self-Concept? Take the Quiz to Find Out!

If you need mindset or manifesting support, book a call with me here.

If traditional manifesting efforts have disappointed you, learn more about my book here.

What is your self-concept?

It’s the overall view you have of yourself and your assumptions about life.

More specifically, a self-concept reveals how you assume life responds to you and your relationship with yourself.

All of us have beliefs that affect our outlook, choices, behavior, and habits.

But your self-concept is a bit different. You can think of it as the overall belief you have about yourself and how you fit into the “big picture” of life.

Your self-concept determines:

  • if you experience life as friendly or harsh towards you
  • how you feel life responds to you — does it help or hinder your plans?
  • how you experience resources and abundance flowing to you
  • how you see yourself in relationships with other people — “I’m the outcast,” or “I’m the princess.”
  • what you think you can do, be, or have
  • what you can and can’t ask for
  • what you can and can’t expect for yourself
  • how you talk to yourself and how you treat yourself

Here’s what many people learn: how they *think* they see themselves and how they *actually* see themselves can be complete opposites.

The circumstances and experiences you are going through presently are useful indicators of how you truly see yourself based on your subconscious beliefs about yourself and life.

If you think you see yourself as wealthy, but the money isn’t flowing easily, you may have a different self-concept from what you expect.

Once you change your self-concept and decide who you are (wealthy, magical, amazing), everything in your perception starts to shift, which influences your behavior and actions.

Is your self-concept healthy?

A powerful tool for peeling back the layers of your beliefs is asking pointed questions.

Questions engage the frontal lobe, which sends a message to every part of your brain to retrieve information relevant to your question.

Questions also create new neural connections in your brain, which gives you the power of new perspectives and choices.
